A Barker Graftworks product
Made to remove the mechanics between writing and a real book
Manuscript to Book is a guided Windows application from Barker Graftworks Ltd. It helps authors create a professionally constructed, editable Word book without learning the machinery of Word book layout.
Why Manuscript to Book exists
Manuscript to Book began with a simple frustration: finishing the words should not force an author to become an expert in mirrored margins, section breaks, running heads, page fields and contents mechanics.
The aim is not to replace writing tools or take control of the manuscript. It is to turn a chapter-based book into a well-constructed, editable Word document through a guided workflow that ordinary authors can understand.
That principle shapes the product: keep the manuscript local, make AI optional, avoid proprietary lock-in and give the customer a Word file they can continue to own and edit.

The product principle
The author supplies the book. Manuscript to Book supplies the repeatable construction: structure, margins, sections, styles, running heads, page fields and contents mechanics.
Why the result is Word
A Word document remains editable, familiar and portable. It can be reviewed and adjusted after generation, then saved as a PDF by the author when a publishing service requires one.
A focused first release
The beta is for Windows and currently concentrates on 6 × 9 chapter-based books. It does not claim to be a cover creator, PDF or EPUB generator, AI writing service, or guarantee of publisher acceptance.
